Panic button

Long-term care benefit recipients may receive panic button services.

Panic buttons are connected to a staffed call center, receiving and answering to emergency calls from the elderly who found themselves in a situation of distress, 24 hours a day.

You can receive the service for a quarter care hour per week, without extra fee.

In other words, if you are entitled to a level long-term care benefit, you can receive a panic button and 9.45 home weekly care hours, instead of 10 care hours without a distress transmitter.
